What does a pilot cost our agency?
Pilot partnerships are structured collaboratively: our goal is learning, not revenue. We'll discuss a scope that works for both sides before anything begins. Compa is designed to support grant-eligible activities under programs such as EMPG, SHSP, and UASI: confirm eligibility with your State Administrative Agency or FEMA regional office.
How does Compa handle data privacy and security?
Privacy is foundational. Your data works for your rescue, not for advertisers: Compa never sells personal information for advertising or marketing. To coordinate aid, we share the minimum necessary information, such as location and the needs or offers posted, with vetted emergency-response and government partners under written contract, and only to deliver help and coordinate response. Our public privacy policy is published on this site, and we're happy to discuss your requirements during the pilot.
Is Compa accessible to residents with disabilities?
Accessibility is a design requirement, not an afterthought. We're building to WCAG 2.2 AA and plain-language standards, with low-bandwidth and multilingual support: because the people most at risk in disasters are often the least served by technology.
Does Compa replace our existing alerting or EOC systems?
No. Compa complements official systems: it organizes the community layer that sits alongside 911, public alerting, and NIMS/ICS structures. It doesn't replace agency authority or command.
Is Compa affiliated with FEMA?
No. Compa is an independent product of Integer LLC. We're inspired by FEMA's Whole Community doctrine, but we are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or acting on behalf of FEMA or any government agency.
